Floral Enthusiast

Table Runner Centerpiece

Create a permanent botanical table runner for your dining room table or mantel. We will use spring-like silk flowers and ferns with mosses and other natural elements in a long, low-profile arrangement, approximately 12” by 36”. Note: We will work with hot glue, which may hinder fresh manicures!  Bring wire cutters and scissors. Class taught by Wanda Norton, MSU Master Floral Designer. ($50)

 

A Southern Social Arrangement

A large-scale, mass-pattern, event floral design combining line, mass and filler materials. For Master Floral Designers and Master Floral Designers-in-training, only.  Bring your tools. ($75)

 

Silk Flower Cemetery Arrangement

Learn how to make a cemetery memorial arrangement. Participants will craft a silk floral spray that can be clamped to a cemetery headstone. Bring wire cutters and scissors. ($40)

 

International Women’s Day

Enjoy an afternoon of lively, interesting floral design demonstrations by Dr. Jim DelPrince.  Be inspired by a variety of design styles, colors, and springtime flowers.  Our new MSU Master Floral Designer inductees will receive certificates.  Celebrate International Women’s Day and floral design!  After the program, partake in refreshments, see designs up-close, and visit with MFDs and Dr. DelPrince. No tools needed, demonstration only. ($20)

 

Kids Camp in Floral Design

Spend the morning learning how to be creative with flowers. We will make arrangements to wear, to decorate a table, and learn how flowers grow. For young people, ages 8-12. Tools and supplies provided. ($40)

 

Master Floral Designer

Delve deeply into floral design by completing this certificate program. Participants meet weekly for the semester and learn floral care and handling, design principles and elements, and practice all foundational forms of floral design. Studio work duration is 420 hours plus complete 40 service hours to receive certificate.  Supplies included.

Professional Florist Program

Verona/Tupelo, Mississippi Workshop!  Learn the ins and outs of selling, handling and designing wedding flowers.  Our highly successful Wedding Floral Design workshop hits the Mississippi roads this year.  You will learn how to sell wedding flowers, creating the win/win with your clients.  We will cover floral care and handling that makes flowers last.  Learn how to create hand-tied bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres using adhesives, centerpieces and an altar design.  This class is great for those with 0-5 years floral design experience, including those who aspire to design and sell wedding flowers for a profit.
