Kids Camp in Floral Design
Young people love flowers, too!  Let’s spend a morning filled with floral design activity to learn something new and forget the summer blahs.  Young people ages 8-12 will create 3-4 colorful, simple and elegant, floral designs, enjoy a plant and nature walk in the MSU Coastal Extension Center campus and enjoy a snack.  Class begins at 9:00 AM and ends at noon.  Cost includes all materials and a snack.  No need to bring any tools or supplies; we will provide everything you need.  Dress for working with flowers and a 30 minute walk around the MSU Coastal gardens.  Class lead by members of the Mississippi Master Floral Designers.  $40.00 per person. 

Garden Vase
Learn how to arrange a colorful mixture of cut flowers and greenery using techniques to increase display longevity and visual balance.  Bring a sharp paring knife and scissors.
 
Wedding Workshop
New to professional floral design or thinking about a career as a wedding florist?  On day 1, learn floral care and handling techniques, how to book a wedding, keeping organized and pricing for profit.  Day 2: altar design, hand tied bouquet, table centerpiece, and flowers to wear.  Bring your tools.
 
Master Floral Designer

Fall Wall Art
Let’s create a collage of fall floral materials and colors.  This design can be displayed on a wall or door.  Bring scissors and wire cutters.
 
Beautiful Things From Mississippi
A demonstration, free to the public and sponsored by a grant from the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce.  Dr. DelPrince will demonstrate seasonal floral designs made with foliage and flowers grown in our scenic state.
 
Halloween Arrangement
It’s the time of year when pumpkins, ghosts and all things orange catch our eyes!  We will create a fresh floral design with seasonal accents.  Display your design at home, use for a party or give it to a special friend!  Bring a paring knife, scissors.
 
Mixed Greenery Design
In the fall and winter season, arrangements of greenery become more popular.  An assortment of patterns and textures await you as you create your long-lasting foliage design for the holiday season.  Bring a paring knife, scissors
 
Boxwood Christmas Tree
A mini Christmas tree, about 16 inches tall, will be made from boxwood cuttings and arranged in floral foam.  After making your tree, decorate it with shimmering holiday ornaments.  If properly cared for, your design will last into the New Year.  Don’t miss this class!  Bring a paring knife, scissors, wire cutters.
 
Christmas Door Swag
Time to deck the halls with a traditional cluster of evergreens, fine and broad-leaved, adorned with traditional trims.  Your finished design can be displayed on your front door or above a mantel.  Bring a paring knife, scissors, wire cutters.
 
Santa Design
Themed, novelty floral design portrays the spirit of the holiday.  Santa will make an appearance through the design you create featuring fresh flowers and greenery in a Santa container/figurine.  This charming design would make a lovely gift for someone you love or keep yours for your home.  Bring a paring knife, scissors.
