The McNeill Unit is located in Pearl River County, MS on Highway 11 between the towns of McNeill and Carriere. The station has around 397 acres in total, but the acreage is divided by McNeill Steephollow Rd to the North and Ben Gill Rd to the South. On station you will find research on muscadines, bunch grapes, ornamentals, and other small fruit revolving around cultural practices, variety trials, plant breeding, and wine making. The station is also actively involved in forage research, formosan termite research, and in the past has been involved in research on cattle and silvopasture.

The McNeill Unit hosts an annual Muscadine Field Day at the end of every August where the public is invited to come and learn about muscadines and sample from the many varieties on station.

The McNeill Unit has big plans for the future and hopes to continue expanding its research efforts!
