Fall Floral Design Seminar with Hands-On Workshop

Julie Poeltler, AIFD

1:00-4:00 PM

MSU-Coastal Floral Studio

On occasion, we invite noteworthy floral designers from throughout the country to share their design knowledge and expertise at MSU Coastal with our Floral Enthusiasts and Master Floral Designers.  Our first Inspiring Designer is the delightful Julie Poelter, AIFD, Julie’s Fountain of Flowers, Lone Tree, Iowa.  Julie is a member of the American Institute of Floral Designers and is an Iowa Master Florist.  She has delivered numerous design programs throughout the US and Canada.  In 2016, she delivered the program “The Ladies Who Lunch”, comprising the demographics, occasions, and design preferences for event floral designs by female consumers at the AIFD National Symposium, Anaheim, California.

Spend an afternoon with Julie as she shares fall floral design ideas inspired by the fresh, dried, and permanent flowers of autumn.  She will demonstrate exciting floral design ideas, as well as a wreath made with Mississippi-grown muscadine. With her help, you will be guided through the steps to create your own autumn-themed wreath to keep.  Make a note to bring a pair of scissors, wire cutters, and pruners.
